About This Wax
IGI 4794 is a special blend designed to make paraffin votive candles. Its relatively low melt point also makes it great for tarts and melts, giving you one wax with two clear uses. Because it shrinks for good mold release, a second pour is needed for a smooth finish.
It holds a 6% fragrance load with a smooth, glossy finish, good mold release, and great scent throw. If you use it for tarts, test it with your specific warmer, since warmer wattage varies from one model to the next. Pour at 150 to 170F for reliable, clean results.
