About This Wax

IGI 1239 Cut N Curl replaces the former IGI 1343. This fully refined paraffin wax is not as brittle as typical paraffin, which makes it ideal for creating cut-and-carve candles where the wax needs to bend and hold its shape. It can also be used to make standard pillar candles.

Fragrance oil retention of 3% is typical, with higher loads possible using additives such as Vybar 103. It offers good mold release, good burn characteristics, and even shrinkage without cracking or spotting. Pour at 170 to 180F for the best carving results.
